Matt Wigton has been the pastor of The First Baptist Church of Rockport since 2009. He holds a B.A. from The Ohio State University and an M.Div from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is ordained in The American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts and is a member of the National Association of Evangelicals. He is married to Megan and they have a son named Alistair, a daughter named Ainsley and a beagle named Maggie. He served as an elected member of the Rockport Housing Authority from 2013-2018 and is a Vice-President of the Northern Baptist Education Society. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow and active member in the Rotary Club of Rockport.
Laurie Tuck is a native of Cranston, Rhode Island and holds a B.A. from Skidmore College and a M.A. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She has been active in youth, music and camping ministry for many years and served as a teacher in Rockport Public Schools. She is currently also the manager at Tuck’s Candy and Gifts, one of Rockport’s oldest stores. She and her husband live in Rockport and have two adult children.
Christian Faux was born in New Jersey, grew up in Southwest Florida, and has returned to the North in pursuit of his Masters of Divinity at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He earned his B.A. of English at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. He has grown up in a variety of Christian Church backgrounds, from Lutheran, to Methodist, to Presbyterian, Catholic and Eastern Orthodox and Assemblies of God schools, and now settling into First Baptist of Rockport.
