Matthew Wigton has been the pastor of The First Baptist Church of Rockport since 2009. He holds a B.A. from The Ohio State University and an M.Div from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is married to Megan and they have three children, Alistair, Ainsley and Addison, and a beagle named Maggie. Matt served as an elected member of the Rockport Housing Authority from 2013-2018. He’s also a Paul Harris Fellow and active member in the Rotary Club of Rockport. He has a passion for church revitalization in the local and historical churches of New England.
Shaina Stowell-Bingle is a lifelong resident of Cape Ann and a graduate of Rockport schools. She has a passion for the mission of the local church and has been active in the life of Rockport Baptist for the last few years. She has previously worked in purchasing and sales and as a mother of three young children.
Katie Favaloro has served in several capacities at the church since 2014. She is a Rockport native and 2017 graduate of Rockport High School. She recently graduated from the University of Southern Maine where she was a part of the Women’s Softball Team, Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity, and the Model United Nations Club. She spends most of her time outside with her dogs. Katie is also a member of the Rockport Fire Department.
Laurie Tuck is a native of Cranston, Rhode Island. She holds a B.A. from Skidmore College and a M.A. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Laurie has been active in youth, music and camping ministry for many years, and served as a teacher in Rockport Public Schools. She is currently the manager at Tuck’s Candy and Gifts, one of Rockport’s oldest stores. She and her husband live in Rockport and have two adult children.
